Ben & Jerry's Is The King Of Vegan Ice Cream, And That Is A Fact

Ben & Jerry's is the best ice cream in general, but it is an absolute gold mine for vegans.

Growing up, Ben & Jerry's was always a family favorite. Their ice cream is so yummy and their add-ins are to die for. As I went through life I became very fond of their favors, and when I went vegan in 2017 I thought that I had lost my favorite ice cream brand, but boy was I wrong.

Ben & Jerry's has NINE vegan ice cream flavors! And they aren't just made with almond milk and claim to be vegan-friendly, but they are all 100% certified vegan. They even have the little "v" heart on them. On top of that, they are non-GMO, fair trade, and their packaging is responsibly sourced.

Aside from them being certified vegan and providing a bunch of different flavors, they are not icy at all. Many vegan ice creams tend to have a hard and icy consistency because of the lack of milk fat in them. Or, if they manage to get the creaminess spot-on, then the flavors are off. Ben & Jerry's has perfected the yummiest flavors and creamiest textures for vegan ice cream. They are so good that sometimes I forget that they are even vegan.

Not only are they the yummiest, but they are also easily accessible. For a lot of specialty vegan ice creams, you have to go to health food stores to acquire them. Not with Ben & Jerry's. Every hometown supermarket that I have been to has their vegan ice cream for a reasonable price.

You don't have to pay $8 for a pint of vegan ice cream anymore. Some of these almond milk ice creams were absolutely killing my bank account. I can't go and splurge on almost $10 ice cream every week. But Ben & Jerry's is an affordable indulgence coming in at just around $5. Why buy one pint of ice cream for almost $10 when you could buy two for the same price? Two times the ice cream, two times the fun.

My favorite thing about Ben & Jerry's is that they don't skimp you on add-ins, or try and avoid the harder vegan toppings like brownies or cookie dough. They have absolutely mastered the doughy goodness that we all grew up eating. Plus, they don't just give you a little. They give you A LOT.

I have tried almost every one of their vegan ice creams, and they do not disappoint. Their flavors range from cinnamon to fruit, to chocolatey goodness and cookies and cream. Whatever your dairy-free sweet tooth desire is, Ben & Jerry's has got you covered. My personal favorites and the pints that have stolen my heart are the PB & Cookies, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and the Peanut Butter Half-Baked. Don't take my word for it though, go out and try them for yourself. Ben & Jerry's has given vegans options galore, so let's take advantage of it. Go pick up a pint and treat yourself. The calories are worth it, I promise.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.
