Most of us go through our daily lives with a dream. Some of us have had that dream for almost our whole lives or maybe a dream just created a few months ago. It does not matter how long you have had your dream but your dream DOES matter. We have each created our dreams from our own life experiences and passions that have defined us as humans. That is why our dreams hold worth because they hold apart of us. Our dreams go way beyond just in a period of our lives but stay present in many different periods of our lives. Our personal dreams hold so much power, so we must personally believe in ourselves.

There will be pressure but you have to keep your mind focused.

There are a lot of pressures in each of our daily lives in trying to make strides to our dreams. You feel the pressure of the work and the constant feeling that you might not be doing enough. Those feelings are normal but you have to keep your mind focused on the dream.

People will put limitations of your dreams.

There will always be people who will tell you that your dream is too big to reach. Do not listen. If you start putting limitations on your dreams then you will never reach your full potential nor your dream.

People will tell you, you're not good enough.

No matter what your dream is, there will be someone in your path that will tell you that you are not good enough. You have to remember that is one opinion of many in the world. You need to learn how to block opinions and take them as much as their worth. I promise you the same people will tell you that, will be following you in your dream.

You only need to believe in yourself.

You do not need anyone to believe in you, other than yourself. If you believe, that you can accomplish your dream then you will not need the approval of others. At the end of the day, you are the only one that will be with yourself 100 percent of the time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
