I Believe In A World Where...

I believe in many things. I believe in honesty and forgiveness. I believe in second chances and true love. I believe that music has the power to save someone's life and that books are more than just words; they're a source of hidden adventures. I believe in many things...

I believe in a world of no evil. I believe in a world where children aren't being hurt; not physically, not emotionally, and not sexually. Where the innocence of a child is not robbed at a young age and everyday can be looked at as a gift, not some horrible nightmare.

I believe in a world with the power of love. I believe in equality and that love does win. I believe in the power of loving whom ever it is that you love. I believe in girls who love girls. I believe in boys who love boys. I may be a girl who is interested in boys, but that doesn't mean I can't stand up for the power of love.

I believe in a world where one voice can make a difference but a thousand voices can make a movement. I believe in the power of free speech and being open to different opinions. I believe in expressing your views and sharing your thoughts but always keeping it respectful to those around you.

I believe in a world where the way I dress, the color of my hair, or the tattoos and piercings I hope to one day get don't get judged. I believe in being able to express who you are and express your personality through your clothes and body and that I am judged for who I am, not for how I look.

I believe in a world where the victim is never at fault and victim shaming isn't a thing. I believe that no person asks to be harmed in any way. I believe that the way one acts or dresses does not give an 'invitation' to be taken advantage of. I believe in the word no and that it means no.

I believe in many but these are some of the few. I believe in who I am and in myself. The world we live in is far, and I mean far from perfect. It takes more than one person to make a difference and it takes more than one voice to start a movement. I believe there is still faith in humanity. I believe in hope and I hope you do too.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition."
