Being a VBS Leader

Using Jesus' word to touch young lives.

Being a VBS Leader
VBS

Every year at my church and many churches around the state and even the country, they have vacation Bible school. Vacation Bible school is where kids come to a church for a week in the summer to learn about Jesus. Each VBS has a theme that they center the whole week around. Each night the kids hear a different story that pertains to the lesson for that night. They also do activities to help with the story and the lesson.

The best part of being a VBS leader is seeing the spark in the kids' eyes when they listen to the stories of Jesus and the deciples. I love spreading the word of the Bible to young hearts and watching them get touched and saved. I love seeing all the kids get excited to be there and I can tell they can't wait to see what Jesus has in store for them the next day.

The best feeling is when a kid that I had in my group comes up to me in Walmart with their parent and introduces me to their parent. Also I love how they will come up to me and let me know that they have accepted Jesus in their heart.

Even though sometimes the kids I have are a little rowdy I know that at the end of it all that I have impacted their life in a great and glorious way by spreading the word of Jesus to them.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
