1. I can't even listen to my music in his car because everything is overpowered by the fancy exhaust.

2. I have no idea what anyone is talking about at the car meets. I just smile and nod.

3. Because I love him, I force myself to attend the car shows on the hottest days of summer and suffer the unnecessary boob sweat.

4. I find myself giving others car advice not even realizing I have acquired this new knowledge.

5. I know he's not spending all that time on his phone talking to girls. He's looking up car parts and watching race videos.

6. He takes more pictures of his car than of me.

7. I have found that "the shop" is not only a workplace, but a weekend hangout for the guys.

8. I get confused when I see a total piece of sh%$ pull up and all of the guys are going nuts over it.

9. I wonder why he keeps his car spotless but can't seem to clean up after himself in the house.

10. I get embarrassed of my own little clown-car when driving up to the car meets.

11. I know the real reason he's short on money this week, and it's not because of "bills".

12. I can pretty much forget about ever holding hands in the car because he's too busy shifting.

13. I will never be the one who drives us anywhere because he wants to show his car off to the world.

14. I feel the need to invest in a vape pen to fit into the car scene.

15. I know I will never be stuck with a flat tire or dead car because he's always there to fix problems before I even notice them.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
