Being The Disnerd Of The Group

This is how you know you are it and what that means.

How do you know if you are a true Disney nerd? Do you secretly sing Disney songs when no one is around? Re-enact The Lion King with your orange tabby cat? If several of the following describe you, there's a very big chance that you are the Disnerd of your group of friends or family...

1. Your musical taste ranges anywhere from original Disney soundtracks to Disney parks theme music.

2. During your spare time you like to plan your next trip to Walt Disney World.

3. And when you finally make it to Walt Disney World, you take pictures of everything even if it is just the ceiling of a bathroom.

4. You have at least three or more Pinterest boards related to anything and everything Disney.

5. You have a hard time figuring out what Disney theme the nursery is going to be for your future children.

6. You struggle to find clothes that reflect your love of Disney while still being age appropriate and fashionable.

7. You wish it was socially acceptable to wear Mickey Ears out in public.

8. You are always checking for updates about new Disney movies.

9. When visiting Walt Disney World, the rides are fun but your top priority is getting all the characters signatures and pictures.

10. You really want a channel completely dedicated to throwback Disney channel shows and movies.

11. You have at least one Disney app.

12. Whenever you go to a new mall you immediately find a map to see if there is a Disney store.

13. As far as books go, you love reading fairytale retellings because they remind you of Disney movies and characters.

14. You want to go to Broadway just to see a Disney musical. Or just see a Disney musical in general.

15. You know all the moves to Camp Rock and High School Musical songs.

16. You love the idea of Disney bounding and look for opportunities to dress in an inspired outfit.

17. You’ve read all the Disney theories out there, from Jane (Tarzan) being descended from Belle (Beauty and the Beast) to theories about Anna and Elsa (Frozen) being related to Rapunzel (Tangled).

18. You daydream about what your life would be like if you lived in a Disney film.

19. You like imagining which Disney Character you would be and which prince/princess you would marry.

20. Your morning alarm is a Disney song. Most likely “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan.

21. One of your life goals is to be cast as a voice actor/actress for a Disney movie.

22. If the option was available, you would pay whatever it cost to stay in the Cinderella Suite at Walt Disney World.

23. You know random trivia and facts about Walt Disney, Disney films and characters.

24. You wouldn’t mind living in one of the Disney parks.

25. You have wondered how much it would cost to buy the Disney Company.

26. You want to invent a time machine just to travel back to meet Walt Disney.

27. You can quote almost any Disney song.

28. You have opportunities to write articles about world events, and instead, write about being a Disney nerd.

Whether you are the Disnerd in a group of family, friends or strangers, there are some perks and some disadvantages of being known as the Disney geek.

As a Disney know-it-all you get to have fun being the champion of most Disney games. If you are anything like me, being good at board games is not something that comes naturally, but give me a Disney-based game, and I suddenly become the most prized person when choosing teams.

Another cool perk is that no matter what the special occasion is (birthday, Christmas, anniversary), it's easy to get you gifts. Anything Disney is bound to make you happy.

Although all for that sounds fun, sometimes it's not all it's worked up to be. For example, being a Disney nerd sometimes is the only label people know you as. Whenever you are introduced to new people, you are always introduced by name and by the fact that you are obsessed with Disney. While that's not all bad, it can get tiring when that's the only topic of conversation.

But at the end of the day, you really wouldn't change a thing about your Disney love. Being a Disney dreamer is fun and something to be proud of.

*Special thanks to my best friend, Rhiannon, for helping me come up with some of these ideas. You're my favorite Disnerd.*

You are a senior in high school, you have made it to the final year that you have been looking forward to since the first day of freshman year. Whether this has been the worst or best four years of your life, appreciate it. You will never have these times back, you will never be in high school again. It is hard for someone still in high school to wrap their brain around, but there will be a day when you wish you could be in the shoes you're in right now. Here are 15 things I have learned being in college that I wish I knew as a high school senior:

Many people think that this show is the best thing they've ever watched and others won't bother watching it because they know they'll get hooked. The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

11 Things We Learned From Brooke Davis

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:
