Being a teenager in today's world, I know all the pressure and stress that comes with what feels like constant chaos around you, and I wanted to see what other girls had to say about being in this position. I asked 10 girls from my school about this (note: answers are anonymous) and not so surprisingly, all of the answers seemed to touch on the theme of pressure to meet expectations and be a certain way, and you can read this for yourself below. Here's what happened when I asked these 10 girls the question, "What is the hardest part about being a teenage/high school girl?"

"The hardest thing to me is the expectations with school and parents, and how much we have to fit into our schedule... I mean we pull all nighters and have no time for ourselves."

"No one takes you seriously with political opinions or what you think is right because you're too young."

"The lack of respect some guys show for girls."

"Everyone assumes you're moody and distant just because you don't wanna talk 100% of the time."

"For me it's the expectations of getting near perfect grades and also expectations of having a boyfriend all the time."

"Feeling like you have to impress everyone everyday with how you look even though once you graduate it won't matter what anyone thought."

"Probably the social pressure of being "chill" and being open with guys but also not being a 'slut'."

"Drama and bullies definitely."

"Labels which sounds cheesy but lately I just keep finding myself having to choose my words so carefully so I don't get certain labels. I'm pretty smart and I study a lot but I try to not let people know how hard I try otherwise some of my friends might assume I'm 'lame' and can't have fun but I also try to not let people know that I party because then some of my other friends might assume I'm dumb or throwing my life away or something.. I feel it a lot more as a girl because people put a lot of labels on us like "slut" or "prude" and I just keep noticing that I only show certain sides of myself to people."

"Trying to be good enough in other people's eyes instead of your own. Trying to be someone you're not and acting totally different. That's the hardest because it isn't who people truly are and they do it for more friends or popularity or a relationship."

So there you have it -- 10 things that most-likely every teenage girl can relate to in one way or another. Remember to be kind, loving, and support other girls instead of tearing them down.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
