Being A Summer Intern As Told By Friends

The first day you walked in more excited than a kid in a candy shop.

But soon realized working 8-5 is rough…real rough.

You spend more time asking for clarification on how to do the task than on the actual task.

You copy whatever your coworkers do.

You quickly learned how your boss likes their coffee.

The 5 words “But…I’m just an intern?!” run through your mind constantly.

You agree with anything anyone says.

You jam the copier at least twice a day.

The president of the company may as well be the president of the United States.

Getting your first paycheck was like Christmas morning.

You realize the real world is a little more work than you thought… but are extremely thankful for the experience.

Shoutout to The Moser Group Inc. for my first summer internship! I may not be perfect, but I sure am learning a lot. Thank you so much for the opportunity to intern with you all!

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
