Ahh, Valentine's Day, the day where companies sell you millions of cards, chocolates, and flowers to show the person you love that you love them.
There are two types of people: those who love this holiday (usually in a happy and loving relationship) and those who hate it (sad, lonely, bitter people like myself). I don't hate it strictly because I'm single, I just think that every day should be the perfect time to tell, or show, that person how much you love them. If any of you single folk out there are upset about being single for Valentine's Day, think of how much money you're saving. Use that money and go buy yourself something nice. Love yourself instead. Or use this day to sit inside and watch Romantic Comedies and cry (me). I can't think of a group of more bitter people than the characters from 'The Office', so without further ado, here's what being single for Valentine's Day feels like as told by them.
When you hear couples talking about their holiday plans
When you realize you're going to be alone, again...
Seeing cheesy gifts/decorations in every store
Realizing that being single means you don't have to spend money because you're broke af
Seeing couples show affection in public
Watching Romantic Comedies and crying because you want to find a love like theirs
Realizing that food's better than human contact anyways
Realizing that candy will be on sale after Valentine's Day is over
Trying to be happy for your friend that has a date even though you don't have one
Thinking about all of the cute things you'd do with your partner if you were in a relationship on V-Day
Realizing that Valentine's Day is a silly holiday and you shouldn't care about whether or not you're single because being in a relationship doesn't define who you are because you're awesome
