I guess now that it's Scorpio season, it's important to know a just a little bit about the alluring zodiac sign. Those born between 10/23-11/21 are considered Scorpios, the 8th zodiac sign. Scorpios are a fixed sign which is ruled by Mars and Pluto because why bother settling for one planet when you're this cool?

First off, don't even try bothering to figure a Scorpio out. They're fiercely private individuals who likely own diaries with locks and hide them away in safes, hidden underneath the floorboards of their apartment. They will likely try to figure out as much information about you as they can without divulging anything about themselves. They might need it for revenge later if you betray them, but this can make people feel like they hardly know the person they just spent months talking to.

Secondly, Scorpios are incredibly intrigued by darkness. Don't be surprised if you come home to a Scorpio watching Dexter or Forensic Files while smiling like they just committed a murder. They aren't necessarily serial killers, and besides, you probably wouldn't be able to prove it either because of their mysterious and secretive nature.

Thirdly, they're extremely resourceful and have a ton of discretion. Listen, if you ever need to make that one phone call in jail or you simply need help burying a body, call a Scorpio. They will not only be super helpful, but they will also withhold all judgment and will definitely keep their mouths shut about it. Overall, we all need that one Scorpio friend who can help us get out of a tough situation.

It's true that Scorpios can get a bad reputation sometimes for acting a little crazy, but hey, it's because they're incredibly intuitive and passionate. If a Scorpio feels totally comfortable with you, you know that you have a friend for life.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
