Pro-life or pro-choice, it's such a controversial topic. I'm not quite sure why. What a woman does with her body should be her decision and only her decision to make; not the state and certainly not a man that has no relation to her whatsoever.
There's plenty of reasons for a woman to have an abortion. One of the number one reasons being, she simply doesn't want to be pregnant anymore. Why is it that some people cannot understand that fact? Typically only men. No man would like it if women got to say what they can and can't do with their bodies or use of their reproduction organs. I know for a fact that if the roles were reversed there would not be any laws against any reproductive organs.
Lose the stereotype that all women won't be fulfilled unless they have children. Having children isn't for everyone, certainly not for every single man, so why would having children be for every single woman? Lose the stereotype that all women that get abortions are bad people. Believe or not, there are women who have no desire whatsoever to get an abortion, but have to for medical reasons. Lose the stereotype that all women that get one will go to "hell" because it's a sin. Many people all over the world commit worse sins, for example premarital sex, a different sexuality, lying, cheating, discrimination, hate, the list goes on and on.
It's cells. The fetus is only cells. If the abortion is done properly as well as at the proper time, the fetus is is nothing more than a bundle of cells. Think about it this way, if you decide to plant a garden you need seeds. You plant the seeds but ultimately decide a short time later you don't want a garden anymore. You go to dig up the seeds and they are still seeds. You are not killing the plants, they haven't even had time to grow fully. The same goes for a pregnancy.
Overall, I firmly believe that it is not my place to tell another woman what she can and can't do with her body or in general. That's why I am pro-choice and proud. With that being said I'm not trying to force my beliefs upon you. I'm just trying to give you another point of view to see the issue from.
