You had my heart at hello but I never had yours.

Nothing Has Hurt Me More Than Being In The Friendzone As A Girl

Everyone has always made memes about guys being in the friend zone and many have commented on how complicated girls are because girls seem to be misleading guys into falling for them. However, this dilemma happens to girls as well. Girls do feel that guys are confusing and that guys can be misleading as well. Here is why:

The first time he laughed at one of your lame jokes, you felt a sense of connection.

The first time he saw you at your weakest and he stayed there to make sure you were ok. You felt that he was definitely going to be the one. He gave you a sense of belonging and he made you feel safe.

The first time he drunk dialed you, to be honest, you felt weird but glad at the same time because even in his drunk state; his mind still had you. You believed that you had secured a place in his heart.

The first time he said I love you to you, you felt as if your heart rate was 160 and it was about to explode.

The first time you introduced him to your friends, he said he wasn't your boyfriend.
In that instant, your mind went blank.

Why did he say that? What exactly is the relationship that you two share? All these thoughts start to pop up in your mind.

After everything that you have been through together, he denied your relationship.

You thought you were together. You thought that finally, you found someone.
But his denial felt like a stab through your heart and it still lingers within your mind and heart.

He still sends you goodnight texts with heart emojis. He still gives you the love and protection as a significant other.

But his denial lingers within you. After all that has happened, what is the relationship between you two?

And it hurts so bad that you have to keep on pretending you are ok. You still reply to his texts and you still hang out with him once in a while, you still keep a smile to your face.

The truth is,
you're not ok.

So here is a message to all, a perfect and understanding relationship is built upon trust. So, stop giving him or her excuses to console yourself. Stop lying to your heart and accept the fact that this limbo state with never cease if none of you make the first move. If you believe that they are the one, go for it. Take the leap of faith and grab the chance while you still can.

Nothing hurts more than seeing the person whom you wholeheartedly love for walk away without ever realizing your true feelings to them.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
