Hanging On By a Paper Clip:
I have been using a paper clip to zip up my bookbag for much longer than is socially acceptable. I have had to improvise ever since the little leather flap that is used to open and close the zipper on my bookbag fell off. Considering I can't remember when it fell off I'd say I'm past the point of making up excuses for why I'm using a paper clip to open and close my bookbag.
Askew For Days:
I either need a completely new zipper or just need to get over my emotional attachment and buy a new bookbag already because I'm not the kind for person who typically has extra time in the morning to deal with a zipper that is on the fritz. Just picture this: Me running across the school parking lot with my bookbag flapping open behind me.
Sew Me Up:
My bookbag has needed sewing up on a couple occasions. Apparently it's the most strained at the top because that's where my helpful mother sewed up a nasty rip that is reopening as we speak.
The Technicalities:
Now to be fair, there are days where my bookbag decides to actually cooperate and it's on these days where I can convince myself this bookbag will work for the remainder of my high school career. You see, I've had this bookbag since freshman year and I don't like the idea of buying a new bookbag a quarter into my senior year when I'm going to buy a new one for college. This might sound silly but in my mind I'd like to separate high school from college and the most literal way I can think of is by using a different bookbag.
Full Disclosure:
My wacky bookbag is the least of my problems and don't see myself getting a new one anytime soon because for some unfathomable reason I still like using it.
