Taking a leadership position in my sorority was not something that I ever imagined would be easy, but I also don't think that I ever thought it would be this hectic. Here are just a few of my reactions to what my position entails.
I've been planning meetings for 12 hours.
I've been budgeting for so long that I forgot how to count.
I've been painting this sheet sign for four days, and it looks like crap.
My coordinators won't email me back.
Needed to send a blast to the whole chapter yesterday. Forgot.
Recruitment is over, and it's Bid Day.
Wait. It's Bid Day—there's so much to do.
"There's a problem."
"There's another problem."
The new members are having fun.
Bid Day is over.
Now they have new member meetings.
You get to know the new members.
You watch them get their Bigs.
Planning initiation and wondering if they remember anything.
Having a new class of initiated sisters.
