Most of us come home for the holidays and love the fridge full of food and mom/dad's outpouring of love. And while that lasts for all of about 48 hours before you start going stir crazy, its a sigh of sweet relief that you won't have to worry about school at least for a little while. Living a life of spontaneity while you're away at college and you're young and wild and free, it can be quite an adjustment coming back to living under your parents' roof. Good or bad, being back home for over a month will make or break your sanity, so let's hope its not all bad.
1. When you come home and get to see your dog for the first time in forever
Its been weeks, if not months since you came home and last saw your precious pup. You practically come to tears because you missed them so much.
2. You go back to your old ways of tormenting your siblings
Its basically like you never left. Annoying your siblings or simply picking on them just for the fun of it, all comes back just TOO easily.
3. Doing nothing all day can be exhausting
Your daily plans consist of Netflix, Netflix, and more Netflix. You're never wearing pants and the only time you get out of bed is to go to the bathroom or get food.
4. Most your friends are back at school so you have no one to hang out with
As time goes on, you realize all your bffs are people that you've met at college and you wish you could pack them up in your suitcase to come live with you at home.
5. Eating away your weight in unhealthy food
You could never say no to dessert, you live a carefree lifestyle (even if it means gaining 15 pounds).
6. When the boredom kicks in you decide to reinvent your entire wardrobe
Who said decluttering and re-organizing your entire closet can't be fun?
7. In that boredom you may also decide to try something new, like learning a new language
This is when you know you truly are desperate in finding something to do with all of your free time.
8. Living with your family again has you acting like all types of crazy
Deep down you love them, but all being under the same roof again can at times become a bit aggravating.
9. When your parents suggest you to do something that requires physical movement
"Wanna go on a walk with me?" is their settle way of telling you to maybe lay off the chips and get some exercise.
10. Having the fear that you'll run into someone from high school just about anywhere you go
Just run. Run the other way.
11. You finally get out for a night of fun for the first time in weeks
You also seem to have forgotten what it's like to act like an acceptable human being in public.
12. You come to the realization that school starts again soon and you're definitely not ready
Mentally, physically, and socially not ready for the blood sweat and tears. But on the bright side, you survived being at home so you still must have some sanity left!
