Being a girl who jokes like a man is a tough humor to carry. Every time I make a joke that is cruder and seen as a "guy's joke" I get some odd looks. I grew up in a family where this off-hand humor is accepted and promoted. There are many a cuss word and synonyms for penis thrown around on a daily basis. It can be a hard life though when you have a vagina and talk like this.
First off, friendships are hard to find. With girls it can be much more hit or miss. You have to weed through the girls who have a stick permanently shoved up their butts and girls who think saying "f*ck" is frowned upon. Once you find the yin to your yang, the sun to your moon, the sh*t to your f*ck, it is the best friendship their is. They understand the struggles you go through and can bounce all the sarcasm you throw at them right back.
Guys are thrown off at first. If you find the right group though, you are instantly accepted and usually referred to as a "bro" or "dude." At the same time, there are the ones that are confused forever. They don't know the ratio of girly to bro-like to treat you. It's really difficult to check yourself around guys. You assume they will understand your humor, but there are the ones who don't enjoy your crass-ness. They can get the f*ck over it or not associate with me.
Keeping yourself in check in a professional scene is important, but in general don't be going around hiding your true self. You are a beautiful peacock and people have got to let you fly. You might scare some people along the way with your weirdness and odd humor, but hey you don't want them as friends anyway.
