For seniors in high school who are wondering what it's like to be a freshman in college, this article might help you understand what exactly freshman experience during their first year, so... enjoy!

1. You know in high school when you thought going to sleep early was so dumb and staying up was just what teenagers usually do? Well you are wrong...

2. If you used to complain about your moms' food... she's probably laughing at you right now.

3. They say not to cave in every time you have cravings, but let's be honest, college does not apply to this at all. (Especially ice cream).

4. You have a paper due in 24 hours. You say "It's fine. I have time." Do you? Do you really?

5. Dorm check... This would make your parents so proud! You're finally making your bed after 18 years!

6. So many people getting engaged! So many rings.

7. One laundry room... one dorm full of students! Yeah, not so easy!

8. It is said that "a dog is a man's best friend," but in college, we can agree its coffee. Coffee is a necessity!

9. Christian dating in a Christian college...

10. Trying to figure out when to do your assignment.

(Yes of course! I'll do it tomorrow five minutes before class)

College can be scary. Trust me; I've already had my share of being on my knees, but If I could tell you one thing I learned from college, its this: God shows you where you are in your walk with him. You are no longer considered a child, and it makes relying on him a whole lot harder because Mom and Dad are not around. It's where you learn how to become an adult, socialize and create new long lasting friendships, and if you're a shy person, try to break out of your shell. After a bit, you'll find your little group.

I want to challenge college students, it doesn't matter what year you are in, to get a closer relationship with Christ. The world has a close eye on Christians because of our walk with God and, unfortunately, it's not for good reasons. Christians are seen as hypocrites because we want to do what is right and follow in Christ's footsteps. I challenge you to show your identity in Christ to those around you, and I don't mean hold up a sign at the corner of a grocery store advertising Christianity, because that's weird, but by depending on God through the struggles of becoming an adult.

Enjoy these four years of college because they will zoom by in a blink of an eye.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?
