There are things we all struggle with in life. We spend so much time trying to find our identity in our 20s. We are figuring out what we want to do in the future and who we want to become. We make millions of mistakes and learn time and again.
It's very important to us for some reason to find ourselves and have ourselves defined. We spend countless hours trying to figure out who we are.
What does that even mean though?
Imagine not being from where everyone else you know is. Growing up in a country and learning all of its customs and learning to call it home, but you weren't born there. As you grow older people look at you differently and treat you different. You hear comments like, "Well you're not from here."
Being a dual citizen is so cool when you say it out loud. People find it interesting, but one thing people don't understand is that it isn't easy.
It's hard trying to find yourself in the big world and balance where you live and grew up with where your family is from and where you were born. It's hard to find your home and which one to call that because the country you live in and were born in hold very special places in your heart.
So now you can see why is would be so hard for this person to know who they really are.
