Perks Of Being In Love With Your Best Friend

Being best friends with your boyfriend is the best

Perks Of Being In Love With Your Best Friend

So as I have mentioned in a previous article, I am madly in love with my boyfriend. But he is more than just my boyfriend. He is my best friend, and I believe that is how it is supposed to be. Here is why.

You tell them everything.

I tell my boyfriend everything. From ranting about my day, telling him serious things I'm dealing with, or just talking about funny things that happen. He is always there to give me advice and/or to just listen to me when I rant. After I rant he gives me a hug and tells me that everything is going to be ok, and even when things get difficult, he will be with me every step of the way. It gives me peace knowing I can go to him with anything.

He still loves you when you look gross.

I can just hang out with my boyfriend with my hair up, wearing sweat pants, and have hardly any makeup on and he still thinks I'm beautiful. It is a good feeling that I can feel comfortable enough around him to do that.

You have inside jokes.

I love that he and I have inside jokes together that no one else understands. From quoting movies to funny things that happen during the day that we reference, or just making fun of each other. I love being able to laugh with him.

He is honest with you.

If I am about to make a stupid decision or I do something stupid, he will straight up tell me that it was wrong or a bad idea. I admire that my boyfriend is honest with me. Even if he knows that it will hurt my feelings or make me mad at him. He is always pushing me to do that right thing.

You just love hanging out together.

You don't have to go on dates all the time. You can be content with just sitting on the couch and watching a movie, or just sitting and talking. We just enjoy each other's company.

You can feel comfortable acting like a goofball around them.

I get pretty weird sometimes, to say the least. I say weird things or laugh at stupid things. When this happens he just jumps right in or just goes with it. We can be weird together. Sometimes so weird that our friends just look at us and say,"What the heck you guys." And when he isn't being weird with me, he just laughs and tells me I'm adorable. I love that he and I can just be ourselves around each other.

My boyfriend is the best friend I have ever had. I thank God for him every day. I hope that anyone who reads this article will strive for having a friendship within their romantic relationship.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
