Being shy, how many times this very word has been used. So often it is associated with being timid and quiet, being soft spoken and gentle. It's as if society sees shyness in a single light. If one is considered shy they must automatically fall into a single category. But, being shy doesn't mean one is silent. It doesn't mean a person can't be brave, endearing and adventurous. That one lacks the ability to have a personality. A shy person is not bland. Nor do they allow others to oppress them. Shyness is nothing more than an adjective, a descriptive word. Yet, there are so many other words that a shy person is tired of hearing.
1. You're so quiet.
2. He/she is so nice.
How do they know? They don't even know you.
