Tattoos have always been a popular form of art, especially among young people. As a young person with tattoos, one thing I hear quite often is "your going to regret that someday..." But after meeting someone who considers themselves as the "one day," she says she loves them all even more and gets a few new ones each year... In her mid 70's.
Just because someones tattoo doesn't look like it has a deep meaning, doesn't mean thats true. I know, at least for myself, I got my tattoos for me- so as long as I know the meaning that's what matters!
This week I talked to some of my peers about their tattoos, this is what they had to say:
"My very first tattoo, I got this because I love anchors, and I also struggle with anxiety. So it's a reminder to keep my feet firmly on the ground at all times, no matter where my mind takes me."
- Katie Lembo
- Jack Lombardo
"I just got this one because I though it was pretty, and now it's my fav!"
- Samantha Engelmyer
- Rhiannon McMahon
"My mom wrote this to me in a letter [before she passed], so I put it on my body to show her I miss her too."
- Tyler Gladd
"It's for my nephew. He couldn't say Oma so I got him to Roar instead. I wanted something personal to remember him by, not just his initials or his birth and death date."
- Ariane Becker
"The symbol was used in an anime to bind a soul to a suit of armor. My skin is my armor and my soul is bonded to it."
- Liam Hageman
