New England is a place quite like no other. Full of beautiful beaches, mountains, seafood and breathtaking views, New England is the perfect destination for tourists in the summertime. Here is a guide to the people who are visiting New England for the first time and will most likely have no clue what anybody is saying.

1. Wicked

Used in place of the word, "very."

"It was wicked cold outside this morning."

2. Cah

The word car. New englanders often replace the 'R' sound with an 'Ah'.

"Pahk the cah in the yahd."

3. Dunks

Short for Dunkin' Donuts. There's nothing that keeps New England running better than a Dunks on every corner.

4. Idear

In New England we either ignore the 'R' sound or add it to words where it doesn't belong.

"I disagree with Obamer's idears."

5. Grinder

A sub, hoagie or an Italian sandwich.

6. "You can't get there from here."

A term coined by Mainers, which refers to the complexity of traveling on the road to get anywhere in Maine because of its lakes and large rural areas.

7. Pissah

Used to describe a unpleasant situations or in place of the word stupid.

"A-Rod is a wicked pissa."

10. The T

Refers to the subway system in Boston.

"Make sure you take the T and the red line to Hahvahd."

11. The Bs

The Boston Bruins NHL team. New England's only professional hockey team.

12. Bang a uey

To make a U-turn.

"Bang a uey at this next light so we won't be late to watch the Bs."

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
