A Beginner's Guide To Indiana University's Bus System

If you know me at all, you know that I refuse to walk anywhere. Not only do I live off campus, but I just really, really hate walking, especially when there's a system to transport me where I need to go. So here it is, folks: a complete guide that will get you anywhere on Indiana University's campus. You're welcome!

The first step is to download the DoubleMap application on your smartphone. It will come in handy when maneuvering between the different routes. There's four different bus routes that Indiana University supports. Those are the A, B, E and X buses. They all go in circles around the different parts of campus. If you're looking for off campus transportation, please check out bloomingtontransit.com!

A Bus

The A bus is my home, because it was the only bus that stops in front of my dorm for last year. Here are the following stops for the A Bus (and in order):

1. Starts at the Stadium 2. Alumni Hall 3. Briscoe 4. Mcnutt 5. Kelley 6. Wells 7. Neal Marshall 8. 3rd and Jordan 9. Jordan Hall 10. Mauer School of Law 11. Kirkwood 12. IMU 13. Collins 14. Psychology 15. Kelley 16. McNutt 17. Briscoe 18. Alumni Hall 19. Ends at the Stadium

You can see how the A Bus route goes in a clockwise circle around campus!

B Bus

For all the Greek residents of IU, the B bus will take you to some of IU's hot spots, but also to the Greek houses on campus. Here are the following stops for the B Bus (and in order):

1. Starts at Fisher Court 2. ZBT 3. Balfour 4. Kappa Sigma 5. Jordan and 17th 6. Lingelbach Lane 7. Kappa Delta 8. 10th and Jordan 9. Neal Marshall 10. 3rd and Jordan 11. Jordan Hall 12. Mauer School of Law 13. Jordan Garage 14. Wells Library 15. SRSC 16. Lingelbach Lane 17. Delta Chi 18. Chi Omega 19. Balfour 20. ZBT 21. Ends at Fisher Court

For the most part, the B Bus route goes up and down Jordan, but also across 3rd street and around Atawater!

E Bus

If you live on the southeast part of campus, the E Bus is for you! Here are the following stops for the E Bus (and in order):

1. Starts at Evermann 2. Bicknell 3. Hepburn Apartment 4. Campus View 5. Union and 10th 6. Union and 7th 7. Willkie 8. Forest 9. 3rd and Jordan 10. Jordan Hall 11. Mauer School of Law 12. Kirkwood 13. IMU 14. Collins 15. Psychology 16. School of Education 17. Union and 7th 18. Eigenmann 19. Campus View 20. Nutt Apartment 21. Bicknell 22. Evermann Redbud 23. Ends at Evermann

The E Bus also goes around campus in a clockwise circle!

X Bus

The X Bus route is the shortest bus route of Indiana. Here are the following stops for the X Bus (and in order):

1. Starts at the Stadium 2. Hutton Honors College 3. IU Auditorium 4. IMU 5. Ends at the Stadium

Like I said, it's the shortest route, but since it's more direct, you can take the bus directly from the stadium to the IMU without going all the way around campus like the A Bus does!

I hope you found this guide helpful and that you will also enjoy riding and not walking... Next time, please look for An Advanced Guide to the Bloomington Transit System.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Advice To Live By As Told By Bob's Burgers

The Belchers hold the key to a better life.

Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
