There are times in our lives where we can't depend on other people anymore. We need to become the hero that we have always been looking for. Whether that looks like becoming independent and taking care of yourself now, or just taking more time to really work on your own life and make it so much better. It can be done! Become the hero you have needed today and for the next few days to come!

1. Depend On The Lord

Our main hope for how to become the person that you need to be is for you to depend on God and know that he has a way for our lives that is his perfect will. Without the reassurance that he is our main hero, we cannot have the confidence to become the hero for our own lives. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5-6

2. Take Time For Yourself

There are moments in life that we just need to sit down, relax, and read a good book. Don't waste all your time trying to please others and pull yourself in five different directions. Take a moment and focus on you and what you can do to make yourself better and less stressed. The moment you start to stop pleasing everyone else at once is the moment that you will finally find true happiness in just being yourself.

3. Our View Of Others Is Skewed

You know that girl on Instagram or Twitter that always her life together? She doesn't. None of us do! There is no way to be put together at all times, and the illusion that we let ourselves believe needs to stop. Our role models have bad days and they have imperfections. Nobody's perfect! Not to mention, trying your hardest to be someone else isn't what YOU were created to do, YOU are YOU and nobody else.

4. Create Your Own Success

That role model that you have that is so successful and that you look up to won't make you successful. You have to go out and create that for yourself! Create the life and aspirations that you have and work hard to achieve them. Nobody but you can truly achieve and receive what you want to, so get out there and get it done!

5. You May Even Inspire Others

Just how you look up to your role models, some others may even look up to you the same way when they see you taking ahold of your own life. You will cause people to want to choose their own happiness over pleasing everyone else because they will see and understand how well it works for you!

Becoming your own hero isn't so hard! Just depend on God and take care of yourself. Nobody knows you better than you do and nobody knows exactly what you want more than you. Also, don't fall for the lies that everybody seems to have these perfect lives and you don't. What you end up seeing on social media is not the true reality of anybody's life -- don't let yourself believe that!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
