I just turned 19 and can already say adult life can be extremely stressful. While watching Friends, I can totally relate to the struggles of becoming an adult.
1. When you have so many responsibilities but deciding to take multiple unnecessary breaks.
Sure, I have so many things to do, but that bath is calling my name. AND maybe I'll take a nap afterward.
2. Telling your friends and family that you're fine even though you've had 5 mental breakdowns this week.
A slight inconvenience happened, why would I bother them with my hyperventilating and panic attacks?
3. When one of your friends comes to you for advice.
I don't do advice very well. And honestly, other people's emotions make me uncomfortable. Sarcasm is more my department.
4. Debating if you should go work out.
When a friend asks me if I want to work out, I think about how awesome I will look if I do, but my couch and junk food are calling my name.
5. Talking to a fellow adult who has their life together.
While they are thriving in the world, I'm sitting in the corner anxiety-ridden trying to plan my next move.
6. When having people over...
Do you want something to drink? What about food? Do you need a refill?
7. When having people over part 2...
Take your shoes off. Don't touch that. Wash your hands after you go to the bathroom.
8. Getting ready to eat when your boyfriend looks at you with puppy dog eyes.
This is my food. I've worked hard for this food! I've waited for this food!
9. When family members ask you what you plan to do with the rest of your life.
I don't even know what I'm going to have for dinner, Aunt Susan.
10. Seeing others moving on with their lives while you stay in the same place.
All your friends are having all these great opportunities while you're just trying to get through life one day at a time.
