Sure, there has always been a bit of a controversy around donating organs. If you're not sure whether or not you should become an organ donor, here are 8 things to hopefully convince you that you should.

1.18 people will die each day waiting for an organ.

2. It’s FREE!

It’s free to register and donate your organs, and it’s free to donate your organs.

3. It’s EASY!

All you have to do is fill out an online Donor Registration form.

4. All major religions approve of organ donation.

5. YOU CAN DONATE AT ANY AGE!

There are no age limits to organ donation. Even if you’re under age 18, your parents can give their consent knowing that it’s what you wanted.

6. You SAVE LIVES!

If you donate your organs, you can save up to eight lives.

7. PEOPLE NEED YOUR HELP!

Unfortunately, more than 120,000 Americans are currently waiting for a life-saving organ transplant, and sadly, this number is increasing.

8. GIFT OF LIFE!

You won’t be needing your organs after you pass away, but you can save someone else’s life! You are helping people such as children, sisters, brothers, moms, dads, uncles, and aunts, and families, so essentially you are saving more lives.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
