Who doesn’t enjoy having a doughnut every now and then? Yet, there are some people who may not able to have them since most doughnuts are made with eggs, an ingredient most vegetarians and vegans can not eat. This isn't the case for Dunwell Doughnuts, a shop that got its start in Brooklyn and soon had a second location in Manhattan. Inspired by their love of vegan cooking and the episode of "The Simpsons" in which Homer indulges in a strawberry frosted doughnut with sprinkles, college friends Christopher Hollowell and Dan Dunbar founded this magnificent confectionary shop. Today Dunwell Doughnuts is a successful eatery that caters to every doughnut lover, especially those who are vegetarians and vegans.

The shops themselves are small locations but have a wide variety of options that cater to everyone’s taste. There are doughnuts with fruit-like flavors such as blueberry, strawberry, and spiced pear. For those who like to have a naturally sweet treat, these are great options to try. And for those who are fond of a doughnut being stuffed with something inside the middle, there are also options like peanut butter and jelly, jelly, or Boston crème which are righteously sweet if a filled pastry is what you desire. Furthermore, doughnuts could also be glazed with icing in the flavors of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, etc. and have toppings--like sprinkles, powdered sugar, or nuts peppering them--which most people seem to love indulging in. Dunwell Doughnuts offers its customers a sweet treat that they will surely remember and makes them want to come back again to try the other wonderful creations made at either of their two stores.

There is something captivating about sweets that most of us as humans cannot resist and that makes us want to try every flavor of it that we can. But all of us may not get to do so because of dietary restrictions. Dunwell Doughnuts has, however, stated with their doughnuts that vegan can also taste delicious without being different from the rest. Kudos to Christopher Hollowell and Dan Dunbar for starting an already common eatery but adding their own twist to it which has made it unique. As one of the best places for vegan sweets in New York City, Dunwell Doughnuts makes the pastry special in its own right which is why everyone who is a fan of doughnuts should visit them. Whether you have already tried a vegan doughnut or not, go to one of the two Dunwell Doughnuts locations for a wonderful sweet treat that you will not forget. It is always nice to enjoy something sweet and Dunwell Doughnuts is a place that will not disappoint. Be sure to check it out if you have not already.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
