Always be yourself and know you're beautiful

Beauty Runs Skin Deep

Are you "Dying to look good?" Well unfortunately many young woman today who are trying to fit in are really dying from anorexia just so they can fit in a fantasy image and try to be like the girls in magazines or images on TV of super skinny woman.

If looks could kill, chances are they already have. Anorexia occurs when a prolonged malfunction when you eat which will make you have lack of a appetite these young girls want to be skinny and think that they are "beautiful" but all in reality they are just getting sick and skinny and that isn't healthy at all and sad to say its not beautiful.

It's a sad unfortunate truth that social media has strongly influenced our opinion on what is beautiful. And also what is so-called "perfect" size for young woman to be?. In my general opinion no girl should think they are ugly if they are fat because we all come in all shapes and sizes but that doesn't mean we are not pretty enough. When girls look at skinny women they are going to think up in their head "I want to be that skinny" so they try one of the few things: eating to puke or just avoiding all foods and you want to know what? They cause a eating disorder there are all different common one's.

Types of Eating Disorders:

  • Anorexia Nervosa is a serious, potentially life - threatening eating disorder characterized by self-starvation and excessive weight loss
  • Bulimia Nervosa is also a serious potentially life - threatening eating disorder characterized by a cycle of bingeing and compensatory behaviors such as self- induced vomiting
These two are the most dangerous and common ones that can damage your body and cause death. teens are all caught up in just looking good and trying to be like everyone else but I don't think

that they realize what it is doing to them on the inside. There are so many girls out there that care what other people think. But they don't need to listen to them; beauty runs skin deep and if you have to believe what other people think it's very sad. I don't think other people will give them diplomas to graduate.

You are who you are for a reason the others didn't create you, your mom and dad did. People’s opinion shouldn't matter at all and that's what our society doesn't really look at it's pretty hurtful how us girls have to face a battle everyday based on looks and most of all try to fit in. Because as they say in high school you have to be popular, that's a bunch of crap. I don't see how having a big butt, really big boobs or even drawing on your eyebrows is getting anyone anywhere in life is it? look at kylie Jenner she Is the female ideal for many girls they love her lipstick products. But I don't think other girls want to be like her most of her fans look up to her I really don't think that acting like someone you're not is going to get you in a good college or get you a very good education. some people really see the consequences of wanting to be like people in magazines and they end up being sick or even in the hospital. It is not healthy for teen girls to have eating disorders just because they aren't pretty. Want to know what? Beauty is the eye of the beholder just know what ever size or shape you are you still have beauty no matter what people say to you. Sometimes you just have to ignore them because you got to think they are putting you down to make themselves feel better. But deep down inside there is something wrong with them and they just don't want to admit it. You just have to stand up for yourself and not let anyone get the best of you.

Yes they maybe tearing you down but know you can rise about that no matter how hard the challenge is. you need to boost up your confidence not have it run low everyone is beautiful in every way and I don't think you should make a change unless its a good one and not a bad one that ends up destroying your life .

"Believe that you are beautiful. You can't always let anyone think that for you. It's you that counts to be humble for yourself, to show others that you don't have to count on them."-unknown quote
