Spring 2024 Beauty & Skincare Must Haves
Hailey Hastings

It's officially time for me to break down the products that I have been loving throughout this spring as we head into summer! I have spent way too much money trying new (or new to me) products over the last few months, and feel like I have compiled a list of ten items that everyone should have in their collection, Yes, these items are THAT good that I would recommend them to everyone. Let's jump in!

Clean Reserve H2EAU Collection - Nectarine Petal

CLEAN RESERVE H2EAU Nectarine Petal Fragrance – 3 Sizes

www.cleanbeauty.com

Price: $32-$110

Point blank, nectarine petal by Clean Reserve is my favorite fragrance I have ever used. It is delightfully feminine, soft, and floral. Every time I wear this public I get compliments all day long. It's a crowd pleaser.

BYOMA - Hydrating Milky Toner

Hydrating Milky Toner

byoma.com

Price: $14.99

I have been on a BYOMA kick lately, from the jelly cleanser to my current favorite item of theirs, the milky toner. This toner is lightweight, and goes on the skin beautifully. Your skin will feel instantly hydrated and ready for any products you're going to layer over it.

Glow Recipe - Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Drops

Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Drops

www.glowrecipe.com

Price: $35

I had never any sort of bronzing\hue drops until getting this product, but have since tried a few others to compare and can say this one is my favorite. I like that i look like i have a natural glow, but not an orange glow. The product feels good and not tacky on the skin, and a little goes a long way, so you don't run out of the product as easy.. This one is a no brainer!

Charlotte Tilbury - Pillow Talk Big Lip Plumpgasm

Price - $35

Charlotte Tilbury is always going to nail any lip products they release, it's that simple. I have used another brands lip plumper for YEARS, and with one use of this one I knew I was making the permanent switch. You see the results immediately and it feels good on the lips.

e.l.f. Cosmetics - Glow Reviver Lip Oil

Glow Reviver Tinted Lip Oil | e.l.f. Cosmetics

www.elfcosmetics.com

Price: $8

If e.l.f. has no fans I am dead. Every product e.l.f. puts out rivals, or straight up passes up that of high-end brands, and this lip oil is the perfect example of that! I have used a ton of different brands lip oil's and by far, e.l.f. is the best. My lips never feel sticky, and the product doesn't glide right off my lips as soon as i put it on.

Saltair - Oil Infused Body Wash

Oil-Infused Body Wash - Golden Hour | Saltair

saltair.com

Price: $15

This body wash from Saltair is one of my favorite recent finds! I've been using it for a little while now and swear that I never smell better than after a shower using this! This straight-up smells like summer, it's clean and bright and makes you feel smooth and clean.

Dr. Jart+ - Brightamin Brightening Serum with Niacinamide and Vitamin C

Brightamin Brightening Serum with Niacinamide and Vitamin C

www.drjart.com

Price: $37

Now, I have only been using this product for a little over a week, but that just shows you how much I immediately loved it. Dr. Jart+ has never steered me wrong, and this product has continued that streak.

Sol De Janeiro - Beijos De Sol Perfume Mist

Beijos De Sol Perfume Mist | Sol De Janeiro

soldejaneiro.com

Price: $24

I have always been a Sol De Janeiro girlie, the fresh, soft scents are exactly what I am looking for at all times, but this new collection may include my favorite scents yet! Beijos De Sol is the current scent I can't get enough of, and I will be smelling like it all summer long.

innisfree - Daily UV Defense Sunscreen

Daily UV Defense Sunscreen

us.innisfree.com

Price: $18-$32

Finding a good sunscreen that smells good, doesn't leave a white cast, and leaves my skin feeling good and not tacky is no small task, but innisfree has accomplished just that! This will be my go-to all summer long.

Tower 28 - SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid

SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid | Tower 28 Beauty

Instagram

Price:$28-$68

I know, I know, me and everyone else! I feel like every single beauty influencer has stated that they love this product, but truly, it's because it's one of the best you can get. Tower 28 has mastered the art of making my face feel refreshed.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
