The holiday season is my favorite time of year and it is also the best time for beauty. Lots of brands come out with holiday collections, limited edition products and special packaging. When you walk into any beauty store during this time of year, you are immediately overwhelmed with hundreds of gift sets and they are all wrapped in the cutest packaging and basically, you just want to buy them all. Unfortunately, since I can't buy them all, here are a few from my list!

Sephora Favorites Perfume Sampler ($65 - Sephora)

I love this gift idea, it is super unique and the gift that keeps on giving. This perfume sampler includes 14 of Sephora's top selling perfumes, as well as a 'scent certificate' to redeem for the full-size perfume of your choice. Perfume is pricey, and it is hard to choose a perfume for someone else. This gift gives variety, and the opportunity for someone to find their perfect scent!

Josie Maran - Glowing Argan Oil Skincare Essentials ($36 - Sephora)

Argan oil does amazing things for the skin. Within just four weeks research results show 100 percent pure argan oil is clinically proven to visibly reduce coarse wrinkles and fine lines and significantly improve skin smoothness and hydration. This gift set includes the Nirvana Hydrating Treatment Mist, a 0.5 oz bottle of 100 percent Pure Argan, the Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm, and the Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer.

Tarte - Tartiest PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette ($45 - Sephora)

This gorgeous palette includes 4 highlighters, a cream contour, and a powder contour. This palette has everything you need to create a gorgeous holiday look, especially with shades such as lit, strobe, fire and stunner.

MAC Holiday 2016 Collection - Nutcracker Sweet Pink Retro Matte Kit ($35 - MAC)

Mac's Holiday 2016 Collection is fantastic, I love the prints and the colors. Included in this set are a Matte Liquid Lipcolour, a Lipstick, and an Upward Lash mascara. I love the bubbly pink lip color and the printed makeup bag!

Fresh - Sugar Dreams Mini Lip Trio ($29 - Sephora)

Fresh makes incredible products, and their tinted lip treatments are amazing. They are pigmented so they give your lips color while also hydrating. The formula really sinks into your lips making them hydrated, nourished, and beautiful.

Living Proof - Spread Cheer & Perfect Hair Kit ($25 - Sephora)

For the hair care lover on your list - this gift set is perfect for all hair types. I love the Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo and this set has received rave reviews online!

10 Days of Clinique ($39.50 - Sephora)

With Clinique you cannot go wrong, they are a classic brand with lots of amazing products to offer. This gift set showcases and allows you to test out all of their top-rated products.

Tarte - Tartelist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette ($53 - Sephora)

Tarte has the best eyeshadows and this new palette features sixteen long-wearing matte shades, AND four new iridescent luster shades with a micro-shimmer. The number of looks you could create with this palette will take you way into 2017!

Deborah Lippmann - Ice Queen Nail Polish Set ($12 - Sephora)

Nail polish is the perfect stocking stuffer, and these two gorgeous colors are perfect for the holidays!

MAC Mariah Carey Collection - 'Bit of Bubbly' Lipstick ($20 - MAC)

The new Mariah Carey Collection from MAC is probably my favorite collection from the whole holiday 2016 season. Every product is gorgeous, and the packaging is fabulous!! Everything you would expect from Mariah Carey. I picked the Lipstick in the color 'Bit Of Bubbly' as my favorite. The collection will be released online December 15th and in stores on December 8th.

First Aid Beauty - FAB Delights ($18 - Sephora)

Winter is the worst - the cold, the snow, and the worst of all dry lips and skin. The only events to be excited about are Christmas and New Years, and they are over before you know it. After that, you're left with the cold, snow and ice, for about 4 more months. Luckily, with these two products, you can protect your skin and lips from that cold winter weather. Included is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream and the Ultra Repair Lip Therapy.

Sephora Collection - Holy Sheet! Set ($49 - Sephora)

Recently, I have become a sheet mask junkie! They are easier and faster to apply and remove over traditional masks. Included in this set is a variety of 19 different masks, ranging from eye and foot masks and everything in between. Also included are sleeping masks and those are my absolute favorite.

GLAMGLOW - Gift Sexy SUPERMUD set ($69 - Sephora)

This gift set includes three of GLAMGLOW's best selling face masks. They leave your skin feeling brightened, refreshed, and baby smooth. Each of their masks is designed to treat a specific face problem.

Too Faced - Let It Glow Highlight & Blush Kit ($25 - Sephora)

You can never have too many highlights or blushes! This gift set includes two highlight colors, a blush, and a cute brush. Perfect colors for the holiday season and even into spring!

What are you asking for this holiday season?

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday filled with love, laughter, and of course lots of beauty! xoxo

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
