The Beauty Of Cruising On Harmony Of The Seas

Have you ever wondered how cruise ships run successfully throughout the many years its on the water? This gigantic ship holds about five thousand guests per week and about two thousand crew members onboard at all times! With a home-port in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this massive ship alternates routes between the Eastern and Western Caribbean islands. Switching between Jamaica, Saint Thomas, Saint Martin, Haiti and Mexico, you can never go wrong with either of these itinerary choices!

Royal Caribbean is the largest cruise line, and they have ships all over the world! It’s a great all-inclusive family vacation idea. I, personally, see this as a great trip option, especially for those traveling with younger children. There are things for everyone to enjoy. From children, teens, young professionals and even the elderly!

They always have games and activities going on! Harmony of the seas has an ice skating rink, nightclubs, over thirty bars and restaurant options and an escape room! Throughout the day there are many activities for all ages, some include: trivia, Mario kart challenges and scavenger hunts. They also have music mania themed games and celebrity night, which includes a video game challenge and a prom disco! These activities are fun for everyone and really helps you meet other kids and teens on board.

For families, the #1 activity is bingo and lets be honest, this is my favorite activity hands down. Also, movies are played out by the pool each evening, which is a great way to kick back and relax after a day in the sun. There is a zip line on the fifth-teenth floor, overlooking the boardwalk, which is ten stories below! Do you dare go on the scariest slide at sea? Only for the brave! The Ultimate Abyss is a ten-story slide with tons of twists, turns and flashing lights! The three waterslides, also known as the perfect storm, are a fun and daring way to keep the Caribbean sun off you. Once you are done on the slides, check out central park, which is a soothing deck full of trees and wilderness and it is a great place to relax. I found it peaceful. Trivia, karaoke, aqua theatre shows and the comedy club are just a few other daily activities that are available to everyone!

For those 21 and older, I highly suggest buying the unlimited drink package. This is a great way to try a few different specialty drinks that the ship offers. There are bloody mary and mimosa bars usually in front of the Scooner bar! Talk about a Sunday funday in full effect! I suggest grabbing a drink from the bionic bar (yes, a complete robotic bar)! Place your order on the electronic pad and watch your drink being made right in front of your eyes! Remember to drink responsibly and enjoy! Non-alcoholic soda packages are available upon request! Water, tea and coffee are offered throughout the day for everyone.

Worried about keeping in touch with your family members while onboard? There’s an app for that! Royal IQ is an app that’s available ($7.95 per person) which allows those onboard to call and text each other throughout the ship. This app also allows those to look up all daily activities and adventures that awaits for the day.

More importantly the delicious food options! There are over 25 restaurants, cafes and bars all throughout the ship. A few that stood out to me were the Wonderland Restaurant, Chops Steakhouse and Izumi’s Hibachi. These specialty restaurants are well worth the price and are fine-dining at its best! Of course, you can’t forget about the main dining room, who is always offering superb five course meals. Those with special dietary restrictions, don’t worry, there are options for everyone! Vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian are just a few meals the chefs can make!

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
