Do you ever have those days when you feel on top of the world because your makeup is on point? And when your makeup is on point, you feel pretty and take the best selfies (those are the best days). But what about those days when you just don't feel like taking the time to put makeup on or you're in a rush and you can't put makeup on? Those are the days when most girls / women feel unattractive and don't want to be seen in public. Why do we feel that way? It is because society does not usually except people who do not wear makeup. Makeup is usually one of those things women wear like the mask batman wears. It is to hid the beauty God gave them because you and society think that it is ugly or not good enough. Why does society protray women as wearing makeup all the time to look pretty? This is because all of the celebrities and "cool" people are doing it. We want to fit in to society and feel that this is the way to do it. In all reality, you do not need makeup to feel pretty. Batman does not need a mask to save lives or make a difference in Gotham city.
We put makeup on to feel like we are someone else because we may not feel good enough the way we are. We want to be different and want to be called beautiful. Can't someone be called beautiful without makeup on? The answer is yes. We are all beautiful and unique in our own ways, but society has changed that reaction.
The truth is, everyone admires you in a different way than you admire yourself. People see you in a light that doesn't shine in the mirror, whether you have makeup on or not. But most importantly, God views all of us, makeup or not, as perfect. We are made perfect by God's love. His love shines through us when we give others our love.
So the next time you are in public and forgot to put makeup on, don't worry! God's love is enough and has provided you with the beauty He sees. Show others the natural beauty you see in His light. Let the person know they look beautiful with no makeup on... because I guarantee you, it will make their day. Love yourself and love others for the natural beauty God gives us, makeup or not.
