The Beauty of Bojangles

It's Bo time.

The Beauty of Bojangles

Bojangles.  Such a simple word, yet it evokes so many feelings.  Being out of state, I had never even heard of Bojangles until one glorious morning last fall when my sorority had them cater breakfast before a tailgate.  My world changed, shifted upside down in fact, and it has not been the same since.  Here are five reasons why Bojangles is one of the greatest gifts on Earth.

1. THE CHICKEN. I really can’t emphasize the unbelievably crispy deliciousness which is Bojangles chicken.  I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  And by “could,” I mean I have. No shame in my Bojangles game.

2.  Seasoned fries. What goes better with Bojangles chicken then their seasoned fries? When those magnificent potato wedges are handed to me, I immediately reach for the seasoning shaker and don’t stop until my fries are thoroughly coated. They are the perfect mix of crunchy, salty, seasoned goodness.

3. THEIR HONEY MUSTARD. I’m pretty particular with my honey mustard. Some places have honey mustard that is better than others and some honey mustard is downright tragic.  Bojangles has the absolute best honey mustard I have ever eaten. I dip my chicken in it, I dip my fries in it, I dip my biscuit in it. I would eat a shoe if it was dipped in Bojangles honey mustard. It’s that good.

4. The employees. So nice, so efficient. If you’re like me, nothing is greater than ordering your food and then receiving it thirty seconds later. And being called “ma’am” in the process? Done deal.

5. Bojangles is always there for you. It is the ultimate comfort food.  Whether you’re eating it on a Sunday morning with a group of friends to recover from a late night out, or eating it solo simply because you’re craving its deliciousness, Bojangles is never too far away.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
