I’ve been a huge fan of the Youtube beauty community since about middle school. I love everything about the makeup, hair, and lifestyle type videos. Even if I most of the time I don’t do any of the tutorials I absolutely love watching them.

Another thing I love about the Youtube beauty community is how much the natural hair community has grown. When I first started watching beauty videos, you’d be hard-pressed to find natural hair tutorials of any kind. These days, there are so many natural beauty gurus you really don’t have to look far. If the natural hair community was this big when I was 12 or 13 I would have gone natural a long time ago.

Here are a few girls that I’ve been watching for a long time who are absolutely amazing.

1. Luhsettyxo

Back when I first went natural over four years ago now, I was scouring Youtube trying to find some cute hairstyles I could try. That’s when I stumbled across Lisette’s 10 Curly Hairstyles video. I was hooked ever since.

Since then, her channel has grown exponentially and she has some fantastic content from her natural hair journey after her big chop, hairstyles, hair tips, and lots of other makeup and lifestyle videos. To this day she is one of my favorite Youtubers ever.

2. SunKissAlba

If I want a really chill, relaxing video, I turn to Alba. What I love about her channel is that not only does she post great hair videos that have helped me so much over the years, her videos are also all about all natural living from her hair and the products she uses, to the food she eats, to the lifestyle she lives. It’s super inspiring. Plus she has the cutest husband and son ever.

3. KayandKosh

I came across Kay and Kosh a couple years ago when I was looking for some new channels to subscribe to. This pair of best friends are so amazing and funny and they give some great tutorials as well as a lot of product reviews.

4. BiancaReneeToday

Bianca Renee is this really sweet girl with a larger than life personality. Her videos are some of my favorites. Plus she changes it up every now and then and does hair tutorials on men or quizzes non-curly people on natural hair terms.

5. Jaelah Majette

Jaelah’s is one of the more recent channels I’ve subscribed to. She’s super funny and has some awesome content. Everything from wash and gos, product reviews, hairstyles, and her natural hair journey.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
