Beautifully Simple Tattoos

If I didn't cry at the thought of needles, I would get one of these tattoos.

Beautifully Simple Tattoos

I don't like needles. I have never liked needles. I will never get over my fear of needles, not even to get a tattoo. If I could ever get over my fear of tattoos, these are some that I would consider.

The New York City skyline is one of the most recognized in the world. I have always loved visiting the city, and this is a really cool spot for a tattoo. Maybe I would get the New York City skyline on one foot and a Buffalo skyline on the other foot.

This beautifully simple tattoo has such power and meaning behind it. It will remind you to take life one step at a time and take everything as it comes. The placement of this tattoo is ironic and perfect. I don't think I would add the heart, though, because it wouldn't have any significance to me.

This beautiful moon phase tattoo is super cool. I have always loved the beauty of the moon and the phases. Ever since I learned them all, I have loved looking up at the night sky, studying them and identifying which phase is which. I love this spot on the arm, but I would be so nervous that it would hurt a lot. The shading would hurt ten times worse as well.

I love dreamcatchers and everything that they mean. They are so beautiful, and to have a permanent dreamcatcher would be so relaxing. This tattoo is so beautifully done and would be really cool to get.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to travel. This simple, small wanderlust tattoo is so beautiful. I would add to it, though. I would get the tattoo colored in when I visited that continent or that area of the world. I would also add the word "wanderlust" to it.

For all of the "Harry Potter" lovers, this Golden Snitch tattoo is simple and beautiful. I would pick a different location for this tattoo, because I have been told that wrist tattoos hurt! I would also add a quote from "Harry Potter" -- maybe the quote, "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light," by Albus Dumbledore.

This tattoo is plain and simple as can be. It is incredibly beautiful and simple with a complex meaning. To each person, this would mean something different. To me, it is another wanderlust tattoo, a beautiful tattoo that makes me want to see the world.

This faith tattoo is so simple and perfect. It would remind me that I need to think positive and have faith. It will help me know that God has a plan for me, even if I can't see it right then and there.

This "Harry Potter" tattoo combines all of the elements of the series. I would not put a quote with this one, because it is beautiful and simple as is.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
