Last summer my family and I took 10-day vacation to Greece, and spent most of our time in Athens and the Peloponnese, seeing different famous historical sites, enjoying the beautiful Greek beaches and amazing food; and staying in great Airbnbs during the entire trip. Here are 6 very recommendable places that we visited and absolutely loved, from the big city of Athens to those famous but small towns that give you a real taste of the Greek lifestyle.

-Athens

Athens is a big city with a lot of history. Although the city itself is pretty dirty and busy, its historical sites are amazing. The modern part of the it is built around these old structures and it’s fun to walk around and discover different things. The amazing Acropolis at the top of the city is visible from almost everywhere and if you would rather enjoy some time by the seaside it is also a perfect place for that.

-Nafplio

Nafplio is an absolutely beautiful, small Greek city in the Peloponnese. It is extremely homey, with beautiful sites and views, and amazing people. The beaches are just as wonderful, and if I had to choose somewhere in Greece to live it would definitely be here.

-Kalamata

I mean, look at that picture. Kalamata is a beautiful beach town, perfect for a relaxing summer vacation.

-Delphi

In Greek mythology, Delphi is the center of the world. It is located high up in the mountains and has an insane amount of history and sites to visit, from sacred water to Greek oracles. Everyone needs to go to Delphi at some point in their life.

-Epidavros Theatre

Do you like theater? How about visiting one of the very first ones ever? This is one of the most famous Greek theatres, where they put on well-known ancient Greek plays such as Oedipus Rex.

-Katákolo

One of the best beaches I have ever been to. Spend some days relaxing in Katácolo and forget about all your worries because, at the end of the day, that is what a vacation is for, and also what Greece does best!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
