You start out getting focused and mentally preparing yourself for destruction of your muscles. Willing to do whatever it takes to get satisfaction in your workout. You walk into that gym ready to work out without a doubt in your mind that you are a beast. That is what drives me. Exercise has become a huge part of my life, and I would recommend it for anyone who is going through a difficult time.
Before I started exercising, I was overweight, smoking, and just very unhealthy overall. My mental health was suffering as well. I was allowing stress and negative thoughts enter my life and start to take control. I was eating unhealthy just to make myself feel better, as well as not being able to get out of bed for classes sometimes. I was letting all these other factors control how I was going through life. Then I started to exercise.
When I started going to the gym it was not easy, but I told myself every day that I could make it. Getting motivated was a big part of the process. Every day I went to the gym and would lift weights and do cardio. Eventually, I started to lose weight and gain muscle. That wasn't even the best part of the entire process though. I started to feel way better about myself, my life, and my career. I was getting things done, I was going to work and going to classes. It was amazing to see the difference that the gym was making in my life all together. Going to the gym and exercising would soon become something important to me and a new positive addiction in my life.
Addiction is usually seen as negative due to drugs. However, when you become addicted to fitness you start to feel something you never felt before. That feeling my friends, is beast mode. You see the gym as something more than just a stress release and healthy decision. It becomes a way of life, a way that you must follow because of the power you feel.
The power you feel from the gym and being in beast mode teaches you something different. Since it is a way of life, you constantly feel in control. You can achieve greatness in your life when you feel this good. You can be a beast in all aspects of life, not just the gym. Being a beast might sound like a lifestyle that is a little rough and makes tough decisions. The life is not easy, but when you are feeling 100% after exercising, you can continue.
Anyone who is having a tough time right now, I recommend the gym. Enter beast mode and throw around weights or run on the treadmill. If you try to go at least once or twice a week and build up, trust me you can make a change in your life. You will start to feel better about yourself, and truly be a beast. Being a beast is not only about destroying it in the gym, but also destroying it in your life and being as powerful as you can. Get out there and make that change.
