For most, summer break is coming to an end in the next couple of weeks. That also means that it's time to get that last little beach trip in before having to go back to classes, work, and a whole long list of not necessarily pleasant things. If you're like me, there's almost nothing that works up my appetite more than a day at the beach. Here are a few easy and beachy snacks and drinks you can pack for your beach or pool day.

1. M&Kissed Pretzels

These are by far one of my favorite on the go sweet treats.

You will need;

-1 bag of pretzels (I recommend grid/square shaped pretzels as shown.)

-1 bag of your favorite type of Hershey's Kisses

-1 bag of milk chocolate M&Ms

What to do;

-Preheat the oven to 350° F.

-Place pretzels on a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet in a single layer.

-Unwrap enough Hershey's Kisses for all of the pretzels and place each one on each individual pretzel. (Don't worry. It won't take as long as you think.)

-Put them in the oven for 3-4 minutes.

-After taking them out of the oven, place your choice of M&Ms in the middle of the Kiss and push down lightly.

-Once you have "M&M"ed all of the pretzels, put the cookie sheet of M&Kissed Pretzels in the freezer for at least 45 minutes. Doing this will ensure maximum security against the chocolate melting. Then, eat up!

2. Frozen(ish) Strawberry-Blueberry Lemonade

What you'll need;

-1 carton of lemonade

-1 bag of frozen blueberries

-1 bag of strawberries

What to do; (This part isn't rocket science. It's pretty self-explanatory.) I recommend taking all the items to the beach or pool in a cooler and putting the drink together when you want it so it doesn't become warm from the sun over time.

Basically, all you have to do is put whatever amount of frozen fruit in your cup that you would like and same with the lemonade. I especially love this because the fruit acts as the ice and your lemonade doesn't become watered down. In the end, you have some cold, fresh fruit to eat!

3. Peanut Butter, Jelly & Banana Skewers

Now, this one is one of the more difficult ones to prepare and transport to the beach without becoming messed up but it's still worth it in the end.

What you'll need;

-Wooden Skewers

-1 banana for a single person, 2 bananas for 2 people... etc. If you aren't a fan of bananas; strawberries, grapes, pineapple all work great!

-Sliced bread

-PB and Jelly (Jelly is also optional.)

What to do;

-Prepare your PB&J as you like, cut off the crust, and cut the sandwich into 4-6 squares

-Cut your fruit to about the same width of the sandwiches

-Put the fruit and sandwiches on the skewer alternating between the two

4. Chips, Chips, and More Chips

Obviously, this isn't something you make--unless you have those certain skills and amount of time in which case, I applaud you. But chips are the perfect beach snack that is easier than easy. If you're one of those people who doesn't want to eat chips at the beach because it won't necessarily help your bikini body, I say drink half a bottle of water before and after and it all balances out... at least we can all imagine. If you want to have a bit more fun, you can make a chip mix with as many chips as you want. You could have a Frito mix, a Cheeto mix, Doritos mix. The possibilities are endless.

The 5 Painfully True Stages Of Camping Out At The Library

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.
