It doesn't Matter If you Look Different, We Are All Just People And Should Support One Another

Caucasian, African American, Oriental or Australian.

Does it really matter what you are classified as?

The color of your skin, the location as to which you were born, and the religion you were raised upon seems as if it matters, but in reality, it doesn't. Even though we all look different, we are all still people.

Having a different attribute from one another makes the world the melting pot it is. But what many don't understand is that even though you may feel like an outcast when you step outside your classification, each and every one of us is the same. We all have the same two eyes on our face, lips that move, digestive systems that allow us to eat, and the same two pairs of hands and feet. Because at the end of the day, we are all built the same.

Out of the 7 billion and counting people alive on this planet, it is important to remember how we are all one and we should all support one another.

Having a different skin color than your fellow classmates, office friends, and peers does not make you better than the other person. It gives you as a person no advantage. So if you think that it is a reason to be hurtful, insulting, or even aggressive towards the other person, take a moment to think about it. Because you may want to rethink about the mistake you will soon be making.

With all of the cruelties, disputes, and much more that goes on a day to day basis, it is important to not fuel the fire even more. Peace, love, and respect should be you as persons top three priorities when dealing with others no matter what they look like and who they are.

You will be respected way more for treating someone the way you want to be treated then treating someone as if they are below you. No one is below anyone we are all the same people just trying to do the best we can and get by in life. We as people still fight for what we believe is right for our country and world. And we as people want to live each and every day to the fullest extent because before you know it, the time will start to tick and you're going to wonder as to when it nears the end.

And when it reaches that point that no one wants to think about ever, you don't want to look back on life with enemies and regrets that you won't be able to take back.

Think before you speak and always care for the people surrounding you even if they maybe aren't your favorite people.

Life is too short to live with hostility. So love, care, and never forget how we are all one.

It may take time, patience, and a lot of learning to realize the benefits of being united, but I promise once you learn, it will feel as if your life couldn't be any better because the ones around you will support you, guide you, and most importantly, not be out to get you or even hurt you.

Be united and be one. Together, we can make a change.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
