Dear world,
It was surprising how I was nearly swept off my feet simply by a barista doing her job well. Walking into a local coffee shop, being immediately showered with compliments, a genuine smile and a firm yet authentic burst of kindness threw me for a loop.
It shouldn't be all that unexpected to be exposed to favorable kindness, but it is this way most times.
Tip of the week: kill them with kindness; sweep people off their feet with real talk and genuine care and not simple wishy-washy impracticality. My urge, immediately, was to befriend this girl behind the counter. I wanted that instant and true atmosphere to be more apparent.
I am told, "life is easy, it's living that's hard" and this I believe. She could have done a dry and boring job at taking my coffee order, but instead she put a burst of energy into her stature and her speech, which, in turn put me in a better mood, which lead to discussing positivity with the people I was with, so on and so forth. It is contageous to put forth the burst of kindness.
To be surrounded with "good vibes" and true friendships, in all its rarity, will drastically change individuals. So, be the kind barista that took me by surprise, made the rest of my day and inspired me enough to write a blog post about it!
Sincerely,
An Appreciator of Kindness
