Be That Girl

And never let her go.

Be That Girl
MacKenzie Meadows

Be that girl who dances in the rain. Be that girl who laughs at almost everything. Be that girl who people look at and wonder why are they always happy? Be that girl who loves life hard, be that girl who obsesses over the small things. Be that girl who loves herself rather than a boy. Be, that girl.

Be that girl who cries at movies, be that girl who doesn't. Be that girl who laughs at stupid youtube videos, be that girl who thinks they are a waste of time. Be that girl who takes four hours to apply her makeup, be that girl who takes four minutes. Be that girl who goes to church every Sunday, be that girl who choses to believe in other things. Be, that girl.

Be that girl who sleeps in, be that girl who starts her day early. Be that girl with a truckers mouth, be that girl who doesn't even say shut up. Be that girl who believes long distance works, be that girl who focuses on herself. Be that girl who wears as many bracelets as she can humanly fit on her wrists, be that girl who thinks jewelry is tacky. Just be, that girl.

No matter what girl you chose to be, chose her. Chose that girl that makes your life happy, chose that girl who is you and that no one can change. Be that girl who has purpose, who has drive, and who you put first and love more than anyone in this world. Be that girl that you are proud of, not the girl society thinks you should be. Be that girl that you look at and adore, don't try to fit the stigmas of life into your girl, because she's 100% you, she's not a magazine cover, she's not an add for healthy living, and she's not a movie star in Hollywood, she's you, she's me, she's everyone. So please, be that girl.

Be that girl who wears a naked face, be that girl who wears a pound of beautiful makeup. Be that girl who choses to stay in with a book on Saturday nights, be that girl who goes out every night with her favorite bottle and dances on tables. Be that girl who sings on the top of her lungs at red lights with the windows down, be that girl who's quiet and reserved. Be that girl.

Be that girl who travels and experiences all the wonders our beautiful world has to offer, be that girl who would rather stay in one place her entire life and put roots down. Be that girl who choses to be in love and in a relationship, be that girl who choses to focus on herself and to learn to be alone. Be that girl.

Be that girl who exercises every day and eats healthy, be that girl who eats a whole bag of chips and watches TV. Be that girl who's thin and she loves it, be that girl who's thick and loves her curves. Be that girl who handles heartbreak poorly, be that girl who never lets pain get to her. Be that girl who plays with every dog she sees, be that girl who loves cats. Be that girl who lets her hair down and loves gettin' dirty, be that girl who shops and always has the perfect hair. Whatever you do, be that girl.

Be that girl who finally choses herself. Be that girl who choses to smile at life, who would rather build people up than tear them down, be that girl who lets her hair down and who finally feels free. Be that girl that society looks at and knows she has broken down norms, that she is changing lives, be that girl who has purpose who goes out there and takes life by the horns and doesn't let go. Just be whatever girl you chose to be, but chose with confidence. Every day you have a choice to be which ever girl you want, so chose wisely, chose proudly, and chose with determination. And never let the age of media and older generations hold you back from the girl you want to be.

So go ahead beautiful, go out there, and be that girl.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
