We tend to take simple things for granted.

Let's Not Forget To Be Thankful For The Holidays

As the holiday seasons are closely approaching, it is a time where we get to enjoy our family and friends, a time where we cherish and make memories around a dinner table filled with yummy food. What we should do as November approaches us, is to make sure we are being thankful for the people and things that are lucky to be in our lives.

It is easy for us to go through our lives and forget to say a simple thing like "thank you" to someone because we expect them to do it for us anyways. Being thankful for the person who was your server at a restaurant, or the cashier at Walmart, or the lady that held the door open for you. Remembering small "thank yous", can go a long way, further than just around the holidays. We do not realize that the one thank you, or gratitude you show someone, maybe the only gratitude they receive all year.

Thankful

Keeping in mind that not everyone is fortunate enough to sit around a dinner table filled with family/friends. Not everyone is able to celebrate the holiday time full of happiness surrounded by the people that love them. As we watch the holidays slowly approach, we take it for granted. We look at this time where we do the same rituals with our family/friends and it is just in routine to do the same thing every year. But, let's try to switch that routine. Let's try to remember why we are thankful for each individual in our life and be thankful that we get to spend another holiday around people who care about our well-being. This goes beyond the holidays as well. We should always remember why we are thankful, not only for the month of November but every-day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
