Learning the ropes of how to study and stay on task during the semester will help you thrive throughout your busy days and hectic schedule. Here are a few ways that can help you organize your time to study and be productive.
Make a to-do list
Making a list of all the things you need to get done is the best way to visually see all that you need to get done and accomplish for the day/ week/ month. Not to mention that crossing things off as you complete them is a fantastic feeling and can become a large contributor to your sanity.
Prioritize
This is where the to-do list comes in handy. Looking at the intimidating list, will help you prioritize what should be knocked off the list and when it should be done. College is full of many obligations, classes and work to be done, therefore scheduling time to do your work is going to benefit you in the long run to make sure all of it gets done.
Cut-out the distractions
We all know what this means: cell phones off, headphones in, and world out. Minimizing the amount of distractions around you will automatically benefit you in the long run to accomplish what needs to be done. Think about putting your phone somewhere you can’t see it and turn off the sound. Playing a Spotify station that helps train your focus on what needs to get done will also be helpful.
Hydrate
Drink up…water that is! Staying hydrated is the best way to avoid fatigue and headaches. It is a big part of keeping focus for all that needs to be checked off your long list of things to be done!
Be prepared
Making sure you have everything you need is the most essential part of staying on task. Double and triple check you have all your textbooks, papers and writing utensils to get the job done, without having to stop the process to grab something you forgot.
By staying positive and having a good attitude about staying productive and getting your work done you'll be on your way to the best stressful times fighter mentality there is.
