Ladies and Gentlemen, today I shall be talking about my trip to Mont Saint-Michel, an island in Normandy. I have to tell you. Everywhere I went, my family and I were always surrounded by people. Tons of people. It's normal since we did go around tourist season and a lot of people were just wanting to visit the places and historical structures. Regardless of all of that, the sightseeing part was amazing and I loved every since minute of it. (P.S. I realized my formatting was a little weird when viewed on the mobile version Odyssey so I have changed it so you are able to view on your mobile devices.)
On the way to the island of Mont Saint-Michel, we could see the castle from afar and decided to stop at the side of the road (lol I know) and take some scenic pictures.
That day, it was very windy and sunny that day. The wind was blowing so hard that my hair was just going wild and I didn't have a hair tie to secure together. #longhairproblemsAnd my grandma trying to look derby-ish.
After all those pictures, we got back into the car and started driving towards the castle parking, where we were met by a ton of people touring the island as well.Inside the walls, it was super crowded (as you can see from the above picture but that was only the outside). As we got past the walls, the walkway was filled. You couldn't even take a single "touristy" picture because the place was so crowded. We walked up the stairs to where we could view the scenery from the castle.
Other that the view from the above picture, there wasn't much to see because everything cost money, such as dining and lounging and also a merchandise store, where I bought a postcard while I was there. From sight-seeing the entire place, it was pretty exhausting and fun all at the same time. But as the day went by, it was time to say goodbye. And soon we were far away from the castle.
And as we got further away from the beautiful place, we took some pictures to say our goodbyes.
And we got very far to a super-market that my granduncle couldn't help but want a picture of. (LOL)
And this marks the end of my wonderful to Mont Saint-Michel. Stay tune for next week of my last few days in France and a tiny little trip to Belgium and England! :)
