Be Confident In Who You Are

Where do you find your self-confidence?

Be Confident In Who You Are

As ladies, where do we find our self-confidence? Is it from what our friends think of us? Is it from what guys think of us? But more importantly, is it what God thinks of us? As we grow up people tell us what to wear, how to act, how to look, and who we can and cannot talk to. Until I got to college I was always unaccepted, because I wasn't a cheerleader, wasn't popular, and I stood up for who I was and what I believed in. But as we grow up we wear certain clothes, because that is what our friends are wearing, and we act a certain way because we want to be accepted. I hate that this is how it is the majority of the time. We live in a society that cares way too much about what people are going to think, especially the people closest to us.

Along with our friends, we also tend to care what guys think of us. It just makes me beyond angry when a girl will change who she is just so that a guy will like her. I mean, believe me I know it's hard to want to be accepted by the guy you like. I've been there. I once changed who I was just to make a guy like me more, but it never ends well. It is a very dangerous place when a girl finds her self-confidence in what a guy thinks of her. Once the relationship ends, you lose sight of who you are as an individual. You look at yourself in the mirror and you don't recognize the person you're looking at. You don't know who you are anymore. Ladies, you are beautiful, fun, creative, and a blessing to the world. Any guy who can't see that, is an idiot. God made each of us unique and no one is like anyone else. Everyone is made with different interests, personalities, and styles. Stop trying to become what other people want you to be, and just be yourself. God did not make everyone to be exactly the same. It is beautiful to be different. The people that I spend my time with love me because I'm not like anyone else. You need to spend time with people who love you for who you are. Wear what YOU want to wear, do the activities that YOU enjoy. Stop trying to please everyone, because it is impossible to make everyone happy. The only one you should live your life to please, is God. God created you and wants to work through you and use you for more than you ever thought would be possible. He loves you. Be who HE created you to be. Stop trying to please other people. Be who you are and embrace that! Cause you're pretty awesome. It's a good thing to be unique and different. The right people will love you for who you are.

Matthew 6:28-33
28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
