What Going To A Dance Is Really Like, As Told By Napoleon Dynamite

When all your friends are in relationships and they don't have to find anyone to take to functions.

This leads to questioning if you'll potentially be single forever.

So desperation strikes and taking a total stranger doesn't sound like a bad idea.

And you muster up the courage to ask someone, but it doesn't work out. Back to square one.

So you justify asking someone because you follow each other on social media and you kind of know them.

But after much searching, you finally find a date.

The day of the dance you take hundreds of pictures before the dance to find just one that's Insta-worthy.

Then attempt to make small-talk conversation with your date all night (cue the awkwardness).

You get on the dance floor with little enthusiasm.

But then you realize: "who cares what people think?"

But then comes a slow song, and it suddenly gets semi-awkward again.

But hey, it's better than sitting alone the whole night.

So you leave knowing that it went better than you thought.

This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
