If The 'Parks And Rec' Crew Rushed Baylor Sororities, This Is Where They'd End Up

Where does your sorority fit?

"Parks and Recreation" is by far my favorite TV show. In my humble opinion, it's better than "The Office" (yeah— I took it there). So, in honor of the best show of all time, I thought it would be entertaining to assign the sororities at Baylor to some of the main characters in "Parks and Rec." I've left out Ron and Leslie because let's be honest, no one lives up to that standard.

(Also, all eight chapters at Baylor are full of wonderful girls — so you can't go wrong joining any one of them).

1. Alpha Delta Pi- Jerry/Lary/Gary Gergich

The girls in Adpi are really sweet, but it's just not the most popular chapter at Baylor. Just like Jerry, they try their best.

2. Alpha Chi Omega- Mona Lisa

AXO is an interesting mix of girls, but there are definitely some girls that like to party who would make Mona Lisa proud.

3. Chi Omega- Chris and Ben

XOs are really nice and down-to-earth, but they are definitely unique (@Ben) and sometimes their optimism is a little too much to handle (@Chris).

4. Delta Delta Delta- Ann Perkins

Most Tri-delts at Baylor are nursing (@Ann) or education majors. A lot of the girls in this chapter try to get everyone to like them; I'm pretty sure they live by Ann's quote above...

5. Kappa Alpha Theta- Mark Brendanawicz

Thetas are pretty laid back, and much like Mark, they're some of the chillest people at Baylor.

6. Kappa Kappa Gamma- Tom and Donna

The typical stereotype of a Kappa at Baylor is "daddy's money." The majority of these girls know how to treat themselves (@Tom and Donna). The brand new Porsches I see around campus usually have Kappa letters in the back windows (no hate though, you do you).

7. Pi Beta Phi- Gayle Gergich

Seeing a brunette Pi Phi is pretty rare; most of them are tall, blonde, and tan. It's also pretty shocking when you find out one of them is dating a guy that's just ~average~ looking (@Gayle and Jerry).

8. Zeta Tau Alpha- April and Andy

I'm a little biased, but Zetas are pretty split. Half of the girls are happy-go-lucky like Andy, and the other half are intimidating and less enthusiastic like April. (ZLAM)

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
