When you think of getting ice cream, where do you think of going? For me, it's usually Ben and Jerry's, Haagen-Dazs, Carvel, or even Sixteen Handles. For the past decade, Baskin Robbins just hasn't been on the radar for some reason. So at the beginning of this summer, my siblings and I were really craving ice cream, but didn't know where to go.

Somehow we ended up at Baskin Robbins and honestly, it's the best thing to ever happen to me. I used to enjoy their iconic 31 flavors all the time, but after a while, the place kinda bored me. But let me tell you, they have really upgraded.

Not only do they have a ton of new and exotic flavors, that also have some amazing sundae options and even warm desserts. (I took the liberty of linking the website so you can see for yourself.) The one pictured above is their double scoop warm cookie sundae, where I chose two cookies for them to warm up and then paired it with two scoops of my favorite ice cream, topped with nuts, hot fudge, and of course, whipped cream. It was so good.

During my next trip I tried out their classic banana split, and boy, did it hit the spot. I can't wait to keep trying their specialty dessert all summer... and winter long!

I love that they've added so much to their menu, and I don't think I'll be getting my late night ice cream fix from anywhere else but Baskin Robbins.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.
