Last week, I was lucky enough to have attended the MLB Winter Meetings and the PBEO Job Fair in National Harbor, Maryland with some of my classmates. I can honestly say that it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. While I feel as if I was one of the younger attendees, I learned a great deal about what goes on behind the scenes and made some valuable connections. What I am getting at, is that if you are a baseball fan or are aspiring to get involved in the world of baseball, you need to make it to at least one of the Winter Meetings. There were hundreds of important and interesting people there, and to just be in that environment was beyond exciting.

Hell, I stood 10 feet away from Rob Manfred while he was giving a radio interview for MLB Radio. My friend shook Joe Maddon's hand, and I stood next to Darryl Strawberry as he took a call on his cell. Unreal.

The Winter Meetings is the one time a year that everyone who is significant in the baseball world comes together, and to be there was just so special.

There were all big networks in attendance, broadcasting from the resort/convention center that the meetings took place in.

I even got my 15 seconds of fame when my friends and I walked past a panel while they were filming.

I can't get over how amazing the experience was, and seriously suggest that every baseball fan makes an effort to get down there at some point of their life. So get down there, and see what the Winter Meetings really are about.

I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.

College students, you might be able to relate to this one. These probably sound familiar because we often tell ourselves these phrases; however, we are unable to follow or agree with these the following, deep down inside of our overwhelmed, tired minds.

1. "No more spending money on useless things"

Until you walk into a 99 cents store and suddenly have the urge to pick up anything that's less than a dollar.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.
