If you think about it, you tend to realize that we made our own understanding of the world.
We somehow created a reality that we live in everyday by influencing each characteristic of the human species.
We created a universal language that you must speak in order to be understood.
We created a universal sign for love,
laughter,
sadness,
terror.
We show these signs in order to communicate with others around us.
But what if that weren't the case?
Imagine a life where English did not exist.
Imagine if Mandarin, Chinese, French, Dutch; it all did not exist.
As a child, we have no idea what words are, or even how to develop them.
We are taught by the adults who surround us to speak in a certain way and act a certain way.
But, even as a child, we still were able to understand the actions that are brought about.
We feel pain
We feel hungry
We feel tired
What if it is not the language we understand today, but the actions based on others.
What if the words we speak have no meaning?
It would make sense, saying that we did make up words and their meanings all on our own.
I am talking on a literal level.
Imagine if everything we thought we ever knew was a lie.
Everything we ever did for anybody did not exist?
Everyday, when we live our lives, are we truly a part of that existence.
Everything we have ever learned as we passed through time has only existed because we gave meaning to it.
When we feel something, or when we think something, we have initially made it a part of our reality, even though it never existed.
Now, if we are to think that we made up our own language and basically made up our whole existence, wouldn't that mean that our very essence of our being doesn't exist?
Would that mean that we are, as a species, an arrangement of our own imagination based on what we think about the world around us?
We may not even exist.
The words I write you do not even exist.
They each have a meaning, but is it the true meaning?
There is a phrase that states, "actions speak louder than words".
For that statement to make sense, I guess they would both have to exist first.
